Classification of office furniture materials

Aluminum

Aluminum is one of the non-ferrous metals in the metal category. Due to its wide application, aluminum profiles are widely used in furniture: screen frames, various suspension beams, table legs, decorative strips, handles, wiring troughs and covers, chair tubes Wait, it can be designed and used in ever-changing ways! Introduced separately as follows:
There are two commonly used aluminum profiles and die-cast aluminum alloys. Among them, aluminum ingots with a purity of more than 92% are used as the main raw material, and metal elements such as carbon, magnesium, silicon, sulfur, etc. are added to increase strength, hardness, wear resistance, etc., to form a variety of “alloys”.

Aluminum profile: common aluminum profiles such as screens, aluminum windows, etc. It adopts the extrusion molding process, that is, after the raw materials such as aluminum ingots are melted in the furnace, they are extruded by the extruder until they flow out of the mold. It can also extrude various Sectional profiles. The main properties, namely strength, hardness and wear resistance, are in accordance with the national standard GB6063.

Advantages: light weight of only 2.8, no rust, fast design changes, low mold investment, and longitudinal extension of up to 10 meters. The appearance of aluminum profiles can be divided into bright and matte. The treatment process adopts anodic oxidation treatment, and the surface treatment oxide film reaches a thickness of 0.12m/m. The wall thickness of aluminum profiles is selected according to the optimization of product design. It is not that the thicker the better in the market, the design should be based on the requirements of the cross-sectional structure. It can be uneven within 0.5~5mm. A layman thinks that the thicker the tougher, it is actually a wrong view.

Disadvantages: warping, deformation, black lines, bumps and white lines. A designer with a high level and a reasonable mold design and production process can avoid the above-mentioned defects from being less obvious. The inspection of defects should be carried out according to the inspection method stipulated by the state, that is, the visual distance is 40~50CM to judge the defects. Unoxidized aluminum is easy to “rust”, which leads to performance degradation, and its longitudinal strength is not as good as that of iron products. The wear resistance of the surface oxide layer is not as good as that of the electroplating layer, which is easy to scratch. The cost is higher.

Die-cast aluminum alloy

Compared with the processing methods of die-casting alloys and profiles, the equipment used is different. Its raw materials are aluminum ingots (about 92% purity) and alloy materials, which are melted in a furnace and then entered into a die-casting machine for molding. The shape of die-casting aluminum products can be designed like a toy, with different shapes and convenient connection in various directions. In addition, it has high hardness and strength.
Die-casting aluminum forming process points:
Die casting
Rough polishing to remove mold clamping material
fine polishing

Hardware

The concept of “hardware” is a popular term, and the standard classification should be divided into two categories: ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. It is used in furniture in tubular, rod, plate, line, and angular shapes.
